Job Requirements

  • Relocate to Dayton, OH prior to starting work
  • Experience as a Sous Chef or senior culinary leadership role
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale banquet and event operations
  • Strong communication and team management skills
  • Knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Availability to work full-time
  • Willingness to manage purchasing and inventory
  • Capable of troubleshooting kitchen operational issues efficiently

Job Qualifications

  • Strong background in banquets, catering, or high-volume event operations
  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills with a calm, steady presence under pressure
  • Knowledge of a wide range of cooking methods, cuisines, and dietary accommodations

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with ordering systems, cost controls, and scheduling tools
  • A passion for hospitality and delivering memorable experiences through food

Job Duties

  • Lead line staff and culinary teams during preparation and service to ensure smooth operations
  • Provide hands-on training and mentorship to encourage consistency, growth, and professionalism
  • Monitor food production for accuracy, flavor, and presentation while keeping service on schedule
  • Manage purchasing, inventory, and vendor relationships to balance cost control with ingredient quality
  • Uphold kitchen safety and sanitation protocols in compliance with health regulations
  • Assist with scheduling to ensure staffing levels align with operational needs
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in real time to keep service standards uncompromised
