Job Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Serve Safe Management certification
- 3 to 5 years experience in kitchen operations and supervision
- Ability to manage and motivate kitchen staff
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to follow company policies
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED diploma
- Post-secondary culinary training preferred
- Serve Safe Management certification
- 3 to 5 years experience with kitchen operations and staff supervision
- Demonstrated team management, delegation, issue resolution and coaching skills
- Ability to motivate others and act as a change agent
- Strong organization and multi-project time and issue management
- Ability to read, understand and communicate instructions and policy documents
- Comfortable conversing with individuals at all levels
Job Duties
- Assist in supervising the day to day activities of kitchen staff
- Assign responsibilities for specified work and set deadlines to ensure timely completion
- Promote safety and sanitation and inspect all food product handling
- Assist with menu planning, inventory, and managing supplies
- Maintain effective cost control, service and quality standards to maximize sales and profits
- Ensure compliance with company, franchise standards and regulatory agency requirements
- Provide recommendations for hiring, firing, advancement or promotion of kitchen associates
- Maintain effective communication and positive associate relations including performance reviews and resolving issues
- Provide highest quality customer service ensuring proper staff training and customer satisfaction
