Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Serve Safe Management certification
  • 3 to 5 years experience in kitchen operations and supervision
  • Ability to manage and motivate kitchen staff
  • Strong organizational skills

Job Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED diploma
  • Post-secondary culinary training preferred
  • Serve Safe Management certification
  • 3 to 5 years experience with kitchen operations and staff supervision
  • Demonstrated team management, delegation, issue resolution and coaching skills
  • Ability to motivate others and act as a change agent
  • Strong organization and multi-project time and issue management
  • Ability to read, understand and communicate instructions and policy documents
  • Comfortable conversing with individuals at all levels

Job Duties

  • Assist in supervising the day to day activities of kitchen staff
  • Assign responsibilities for specified work and set deadlines to ensure timely completion
  • Promote safety and sanitation and inspect all food product handling
  • Assist with menu planning, inventory, and managing supplies
  • Maintain effective cost control, service and quality standards to maximize sales and profits
  • Ensure compliance with company, franchise standards and regulatory agency requirements
  • Provide recommendations for hiring, firing, advancement or promotion of kitchen associates
  • Maintain effective communication and positive associate relations including performance reviews and resolving issues
  • Provide highest quality customer service ensuring proper staff training and customer satisfaction
