JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager to join its dynamic Food and Beverage team. This full-time management position plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily kitchen operations to ensure exceptional culinary standards are consistently met. The Kitchen Manager will exhibit strong culinary talents while personally performing various kitchen tasks and leading staff to achieve excellence in food preparation and presentation. The incumbent will be responsible for managing all culinary functions, maintaining strict adherence to food safety and sanitation regulations, and continuously improving both guest and associate satisfaction.

This role offers an hourly pay range between $32.21 and $45.67 and is bonus eligible, reflecting the resort's recognition of exceptional performance and commitment. The Kitchen Manager will supervise all kitchen areas, ensuring that high-quality products are consistently produced to meet the brand's luxury standards. Key responsibilities include supporting the Executive Chef with kitchen operations, estimating daily production needs, and ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal regulations such as OSHA and Health Department standards. The Kitchen Manager will lead shifts, personally preparing food items, and executing requests based on required specifications while fostering a positive, collaborative team environment. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 4 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • 2 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • Ability to ensure sanitation and food standards
  • Ability to follow safety and health regulations
  • Strong communication skills
  • Capacity to manage kitchen staff and operations
  • Flexibility to work full time with varied schedules
  • Ability to handle guest complaints professionally

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Develops and designs new culinary applications and ideas
