Job Requirements

  • culinary training such as A.S. degree or equivalent professional experience
  • progressive experience in culinary or kitchen leadership roles
  • experience supporting catering operations high-volume or complex foodservice environments preferred
  • exposure to institutional or batch cooking environments helpful
  • strong understanding of current food and catering trends with attention to quality production and presentation
  • working knowledge of food cost controls ordering and inventory practices
  • comfort using technology including Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook and email
  • willingness to engage in client feedback and satisfaction programs
  • ServSafe certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Job Duties

  • support day-to-day operation of the culinary department ensuring consistent quality presentation and service
  • partner with the executive chef on menu planning recipe development and seasonal offerings
  • lead and execute high-end catering and ad hoc culinary events including large-scale production
  • assist with cost controls inventory management and responsible purchasing practices
  • supervise train and support hourly culinary team members fostering a positive and inclusive kitchen culture
  • ensure compliance with food safety sanitation and company standards
  • contribute to rollout of new culinary programs in collaboration with marketing and corporate culinary teams
  • participate in client satisfaction initiatives and continuously enhance guest experience
