Job Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • 3 plus years experience in restaurant kitchen(s)
  • Must be flexible regarding scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Successful completion of criminal background check and drug screen
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
  • Ability to bend, stretch, and twist
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time

Job Qualifications

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Culinary education degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years experience in restaurant kitchen
  • At least 1 year experience in restaurant supervisory or leadership role
  • Knowledge of sanitation standards and food safety regulations
  • Proven teamwork skills
  • Ability to manage and inspire a kitchen team
  • Enthusiastic with a positive attitude

Job Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef in directing the preparation and presentation of food in all resort venues
  • Maintain and adhere to all local Health Department food preparation codes and regulations
  • Hire, train, supervise, and schedule kitchen staff including chefs and cooks
  • Maintain working relationships with hotel staff to ensure efficient operation and guest service
  • Contribute to the creation of new menus and menu items based on food trends and profitability goals
  • Audit food storeroom items and storage using FIFO to ensure quality and compliance
  • Perform food preparation tasks including fruits, vegetables, meats, poultry, and fish according to recipes and quality standards
