This role demands both leadership and culinary expertise, as the Sous Chef will oversee daily kitchen activities, mentor and train associates, manage scheduling, and contribute to inventory and budget management.

The Sous Chef ensures consistent delivery of exceptional culinary experiences by closely monitoring food preparation and presentation standards. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous culinary experience in a professional kitchen
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Capacity to handle kitchen equipment safely
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- Previous kitchen leadership experience preferred
- Strong culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation, plating, and kitchen operations
- Proven ability to train, motivate, and manage a team
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Job Duties
- Train and mentor kitchen associates on job duties, plate presentation, and all culinary processes
- Develop schedules, direct staff, and maintain open communication between management and associates
- Provide tools and equipment for associates to perform their roles effectively
- Address and resolve kitchen issues proactively
- Participate in departmental meetings, inventory management, and MOD programs
- Ensure all food served meets quality standards and is prepared according to recipe in a timely manner
- Support goal setting, standards, and objectives to enhance the kitchen’s efficiency and profitability
