Job Description
The Royal Palm South Beach Miami is an iconic beachfront hotel poised for a grand reopening in 2026 following a comprehensive $110 million renovation. Situated at the prime intersection of Collins Avenue and Ocean Drive, this landmark destination is set to reestablish itself as one of South Beach's premier lifestyle hotels. This expansive 17-story hotel will feature 404 meticulously redesigned guestrooms and offer 20,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor event space, making it an ideal venue for high-impact meetings, incentive travel, lifestyle-driven gatherings, and unforgettable group experiences. The hotel's location provides direct access to pristine white sand beaches, an oceanfront boardwalk, and the vibrant cultural, dining, and entertainment scene that defines Miami Beach — from Lincoln Road to Española Way.
We are excited to offer an exceptional opportunity to join the Royal Palm South Beach Miami team during this transformative moment. As a cornerstone of this reopening, team members will play an influential role in shaping a bold new vision dedicated to creativity, collaboration, and elevated hospitality standards. The culture at Royal Palm embraces innovation and teamwork, creating an environment where business seamlessly intersects with leisure. This is a rare chance to help build and contribute to a destination that will become a symbol of sophisticated lifestyle hospitality in Miami Beach.
Within this context, we are seeking a Sous Chef to accelerate their culinary career by joining a passionate and creative culinary team. This role requires a dedicated individual with strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and meticulous attention to detail. The Sous Chef will collaborate closely with the Executive Chef to plan and coordinate daily kitchen operations, manage staffing and internal procedures, and assist in hiring, training, and coaching kitchen staff. Key responsibilities will include menu development, inventory management, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, and ensuring that all dishes meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment, preferably with experience in a hotel or resort setting. Offering a competitive compensation and benefits package, including opportunities for professional growth and development, this position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about culinary arts and aspire to excel in the hospitality industry. Joining the Royal Palm South Beach Miami team means becoming part of a visionary project backed by Davidson Hospitality Group, a leader in hospitality management known for its entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to excellence. Davidson oversees a diverse portfolio of hotels, restaurants, and entertainment venues across the United States, partnering with premier brands such as Hilton, Hyatt, Kimpton, Marriott, and Margaritaville.

Employees benefit from a rich array of programs designed to enhance their well-being and professional growth, including multiple tiers of medical coverage, dental and vision plans, 24/7 telemedicine services, pet insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off encompassing vacation, sick, bereavement, and holidays, and a 401K match program. Davidson's inclusive and supportive work environment emphasizes diversity, equal opportunity, and a commitment to drug-free workplaces with thorough background and pre-employment testing. Joining this team means contributing to redefining quality hospitality for guests, clients, and colleagues alike, while growing your career with an esteemed and trusted hospitality brand at one of Miami Beach’s most exciting new destinations.
