The role of the Sous Chef at Primrose Retirement Communities is a critical leadership position within the kitchen team. The Sous Chef supports daily kitchen operations, ensuring the preparation of high-quality, nutritious meals that enhance the dining experience for both residents and guests. This position requires a blend of culinary expertise and management skills, as the Sous Chef acts as the kitchen lead in the absence of the Dining Director. The Sous Chef will oversee all kitchen activities to maintain high standards of sanitation, food safety, and food quality. This role offers opportunities for full-time employment, with shifts available during days or evenings, and requires flexibility to work on weekends and holiday rotations.

The ideal Sous Chef candidate must have previous experience in a similar supervisory kitchen role and be able to manage high-volume food production or catering environments effectively. They must be either Sanitation Certified (ServSafe) or willing to obtain certification within 30 days of hire. The position demands a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and excellent team player skills. Being flexible and accommodating to the needs of residents and guests is a vital aspect of the role, ensuring that dining experiences are both pleasant and enjoyable.
