The Culinary Supervisor role within this iconic establishment is a pivotal position responsible for leading the kitchen team in delivering consistent, high-quality culinary offerings. This full-time opportunity, with a competitive salary range from $85,000 to $95,000, entails overseeing all aspects of food production, maintaining stringent standards of quality, sanitation, and operational efficiency. As a leader, you will recruit, train, and develop kitchen staff to uphold the esteemed Four Seasons culture and culinary excellence.

The role involves meticulous planning of recipes, ensuring consistent preparation and presentation, and exercising control over labor and expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing, and inventory management. Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal sanitation regulations, alongside internal standards, is a critical part of the job to guarantee a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.

You will foster strong communication and collaboration among team members and other departments, playing an active role in operational meetings and contributing to a smooth and coordinated hospitality delivery. The ideal candidate brings at least six to eight years of culinary experience including three or more years supervising, excellent leadership capabilities, along with formal training or graduation from culinary school or equivalent academic credentials.

Job Requirements

  • College graduate or culinary school graduate with experience
  • 6 to 8 years’ experience in culinary
  • Three plus years of experience in cooking and supervision
  • Reading writing and oral proficiency in the English language
  • Ability to control labor and operating expenses
  • Ability to maintain sanitation standards
  • Good leadership training motivation and communication skills
  • Willingness to work full-time including holidays and weekends

Job Duties

  • Select train evaluate lead motivate coach and discipline all employees in the kitchen’s food production area to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met
  • Assist in the planning and development of recipes and ensure the correct preparation and presentation of a consistent level for all food items prepared through production and demonstration
  • Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling budgeting purchasing decisions and inventory control
  • Ensure that sanitation standards as set forth by Four Seasons local state and federal regulations are in compliance as well as the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen
  • Maintain control systems which will assure quality and portion consistency monitor food shipments to ensure they meet established purchasing specifications as well and foster an awareness of the importance of food preparation and quality
  • Communicate with employees and managers to ensure operational needs are met as well as attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments
  • Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact
  • Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors
