As a Sous Chef at Lucky Strike Entertainment, you will play a critical role in maintaining and elevating the Food & Beverage program that supports the company's nationally recognized menus. This role is ideal for chefs who combine strong culinary skills with the ability to manage kitchen operations effectively. You will act as the guardian of menu quality, ensuring high standards in food preparation, presentation, and kitchen efficiency. The Sous Chef works closely with kitchen management, general managers, and operations teams to deliver exceptional dining experiences in a fast-paced, entertainment-driven environment.
The position requires adherence to the company’s food and beverage menu and purchasing guidelines to maintain budgeted revenue, costs, labor, and supplies while keeping a close eye on monthly profit and loss statements to make necessary adjustments. A major part of your role will involve supervising banquet functions and coordinating with operations and sales staff, guaranteeing smooth execution from food preparation to service and cleanup.
You will also manage staff scheduling to match shifts with business volume, estimate food consumption, and order ingredients accordingly. The Sous Chef must ensure compliance with local health regulations through sanitation audits and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment at all times. Equipment maintenance oversight also falls under this role, alongside fostering teamwork and addressing disciplinary issues in collaboration with the management team.
This role demands experience in high-volume retail, hospitality, or restaurant settings, with specific skills related to catering and event food presentation being highly desirable. Current ServSafe certification is required to ensure food safety standards are met. The work environment involves physical activity typical of entertainment venues, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting with assistance when necessary.

Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1-3 years kitchen supervisory experience in high-volume retail, entertainment, hospitality, or restaurant venue required
- Experience preparing catered events and presenting foods for special events desirable
- Relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable
- Current ServSafe certification required

Job Duties
- Adhere to the company's mandated F&B menu and purchasing programs
- Maintain budgeted revenue, costs of sales, labor, supplies, as well as operating cash flow as it relates to food operations
- Work with the Operations team and Sales staff in the absence of the KM/Chef, plan, supervise, and execute all banquet functions in conjunction with the operations and sales staff including supervision of the preparation and service of food and refreshments, as well as clean-up
- Estimate food consumption and make purchases as appropriate from specified food program
- schedule staff efficiently to accommodate shifts in business volume
- Partner with KM/Chef or General Manager to address and resolve disciplinary issues as appropriate
- Foster a teamwork environment
- Ensure product quality, freshness, and presentation are always at company standard
- supervise and oversee the preparation, portioning, garnishing, and storage of all food
- Assist Chef with managing all kitchen equipment maintenance as well as local Department of Health regulations by conducting sanitation audits
- Proactively ensure that a clean, safe environment is maintained at all times
- Report critical issues to General Manager ASAP
