The Sous Chef role at El Encanto is an integral position within the culinary department, functioning under the direction of the Executive Chef. The Sous Chef is primarily tasked with collaborating closely with the Executive Chef to plan and direct food preparation. This involves creating diversified and innovative menus that align with the restaurant's overall vision and standard of excellence.

In this role, the Sous Chef is responsible for training the kitchen staff, ensuring strict adherence to restaurant policies and sanitation regulations, and efficiently organizing and supervising kitchen activities. They are entrusted with maintaining food safety protocols and hygiene requirements, managing kitchen inventory and budgets, and designing aesthetically pleasing food presentations. With a hands-on approach, the Sous Chef actively participates in peak meal periods and supports team members to uphold high culinary standards.
