Trolley Square Oyster House is a distinguished dining establishment known for its commitment to delivering exceptional culinary experiences. As part of the Atlas Restaurant Group, it operates within a network of renowned hospitality destinations celebrated for their energy, excellence, and dedication to creating memorable moments for guests. Atlas Restaurant Group prides itself on fostering a culture where leadership is measured by impact rather than titles, emphasizing strategic thinking, bold actions, and flawless execution. Their portfolio includes a variety of best-in-class concepts, including waterfront hotels and iconic restaurants, making them a significant player in the hospitality industry. This environment not only highlights excellence in service but also promotes growth and career development for its team members, reflecting a deep commitment to nurturing talent within the company.
The role of Sous Chef at Trolley Square Oyster House represents an exciting opportunity to be a founding team member helping to shape the culinary culture from the ground up. This position is suited for a passionate leader ready to bring heart and heat into every plate they help create. As the Sous Chef, you will collaborate closely with the Executive Chef to inspire, develop, and guide the kitchen team while maintaining the highest standards of quality and consistency. This role is vital in ensuring operational excellence throughout the kitchen by managing workflows, scheduling, and training staff. You will also engage in creative processes such as menu development and new dish creation, making your culinary vision a reality.
Beyond daily kitchen operations, the Sous Chef role demands a strong focus on leadership qualities that foster a positive, accountable team environment. You will delegate responsibilities effectively, uphold safety and sanitation standards, and ensure all equipment functions efficiently during busy service hours. Operational responsibilities include inventory control, budget adherence, and ensuring smooth, timely execution of menu items without compromising quality. The dynamic nature of this role requires adaptability, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to challenges that arise during service.
Atlas Restaurant Group offers more than just a job; it provides a platform for personal and professional growth with a competitive base salary reflective of your experience and leadership impact. Employees benefit from comprehensive health coverage, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, fully company-paid life and AD&D insurance, paid parental leave, and ongoing leadership development programs. The group also introduces unique perks such as pet insurance options and a generous 40% dining discount across all its properties. This role is designed for individuals who aspire to lead with integrity, develop their teams, and contribute meaningfully to an evolving culinary brand within a broader hospitality context.
