With locations spanning from coast to coast, True Food Kitchen prides itself on creating culinary experiences that are not only delicious but also promote wellness and vitality. The company is deeply rooted in a culture that values purpose, community, and sustainability, making it a dynamic workplace for those passionate about the food and hospitality industry. True Food Kitchen is dedicated to fostering environments where employees can thrive and grow, aligning with its broader mission to transform the world through purposeful living and exceptional dining experiences.

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Chef to join our vibrant team. This role is not just a job; it is a chance to find your true purpose in a supportive, fast-paced, and high-volume restaurant setting. The Chef will play a pivotal role in managing back-of-house operations, including opening and closing the line, conducting precise line checks, and ensuring all food is prepared according to True Food Kitchen's high standards. You will oversee the coordination between the kitchen and front-of-house teams to maintain seamless service and uphold the quality and presentation of every dish during peak service times. The position requires active participation in EcoSure and health inspections to maintain a safe and compliant production environment.

Additionally, the Chef will be responsible for hiring, developing, scheduling, and managing back-of-house staff while ensuring payroll compliance with company policies and state regulations. This leadership position will also involve collaborating closely with the Executive Chef to manage the restaurant's profit and loss, directly impacting profitability through careful food cost management, labor oversight, and inventory control. Effective communication with the front-of-house team is essential to ensure adherence to True Food Kitchen's operational guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary excellence, a meticulous attention to detail, and the resilience to thrive in a high-pressure environment while accommodating last-minute requests. A minimum of two years’ experience as a chef in a full-service, high-volume restaurant is required, alongside a basic understanding of the financial aspects of restaurant operations. Beyond technical skills, we seek a caring, self-motivated leader with a natural ability to coach and inspire their team toward continuous excellence.

This opportunity offers a competitive compensation package including quarterly bonuses, comprehensive health and wellness benefits (medical, dental, vision), and a range of additional perks like pet insurance, gym membership discounts, prepaid legal support, and a 401(k) plan with TRUE matching. If you are enthusiastic about joining a company that values purpose, quality, and teamwork, we encourage you to apply and become a valued member of True Food Kitchen’s family. We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer, dedicated to creating an inclusive workplace where every colleague can succeed.
