Job Requirements

  • Education equivalent to bachelor’s degree
  • at least four years of related experience or education and experience combined equal to eight years
  • experience in supervisory or management roles within food service preferred
  • scratch cooking experience preferred
  • high volume batch cooking experience preferred
  • proficiency in food management systems required
  • proficiency in Google Suite required
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • creative and critical thinking skills
  • ability to coach and engage with team members and guests

Job Qualifications

  • Ba/bs plus at least four years of experience or combination of related education and experience to equal at least eight years
  • three years in supervisory or management role related to food service
  • two years scratch cooking experience
  • two years high volume batch cooking experience
  • proficient in food management systems such as recipe and inventory management software
  • proficient in Google Suite including docs and sheets
  • proficient in verbal communication, written communication and accurate record keeping
  • proficient at multitasking while organizing, planning and prioritizing work
  • ability to think creatively and critically
  • comfortable and proficient coaching team members and engaging with guests

Job Duties

  • Ensure a high-quality dining experience for the campus community by upholding standards in food quality, sanitation, and service
  • coordinate daily team staffing for high-volume, complex operational processes
  • oversee inventory levels and manage product orders with accuracy and timeliness
  • train and mentor team to meet objectives, fostering skill development to strengthen individual performance and team cohesion
  • innovate and refine recipes, processes, and efficiencies to elevate guest experience
  • oversee guest experience and uphold standards through coaching and training
  • observe and report guest trends to improve team performance
  • implement performance management practices and administer corrective actions as needed to maintain accountability and support team excellence
  • demonstrate proficiency in verbal and written communication to effectively engage with team and management at all levels
  • prioritize and actively promote a safe work environment by upholding both physical and mental well-being standards, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and fostering a culture of support and awareness among team members
