Job Requirements
- Food Protection Certificate updated
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Good verbal and writing communication skills
- Minimum one year of related work experience in food preparation and service
- Ability to work pleasantly and compassionately with all types of people
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
- Must be bilingual in English and Spanish

Job Duties
- Prepare and cook a large volume of food to feed Soup Kitchen participants
- Maintain orderly kitchen including cleaning, inventory, stock, and record keeping
- Provide contact, scheduling, and supervision of volunteers for food services
- Apply knowledge about food items and proper food handling techniques
- Manage service and clean-up for meals
- Attend mandatory training courses throughout the year
- Assist with maintaining food safety standards
