The Part-Time Recreation Attendant position at Gaylord Opryland Resort plays a vital role in elevating the guest experience by managing and facilitating a wide range of recreational activities available on the property. The Recreation Attendant is responsible for providing detailed information about available facilities such as pools, beaches, entertainment zones, fitness centers, and children’s activity areas, ensuring guests are well-informed and engaged. The position includes performing cashier duties during point of sales transactions in recreation facilities and assisting with private functions, group activities, and events, contributing to smooth operations and guest satisfaction. Physical demands include maintaining cleanliness and safety of the recreation areas, assisting injured guests until emergency services arrive, and handling equipment weighing up to 25 pounds or more with assistance.

Preferred qualifications for this role include a high school diploma or GED equivalent, with no prior work or supervisory experience required, making this an excellent entry point into the hospitality industry. Essential certifications include CPR and First Aid, as well as any local or state-mandated certifications related to recreation equipment use and safety.
