Job Description

Husk Restaurant, located in the heart of downtown Nashville, Tennessee, is a nationally acclaimed establishment recognized for its dedication to modern Southern cuisine since 2013. As part of The Neighborhood Dining Group—which includes renowned restaurants such as Husk, Marbled & Fin, Delaney Oyster House, Minero, and The James—Husk places a distinct emphasis on redefining what it means to cook and lead with purpose and passion. Known for its rich culinary heritage, Husk celebrates the Southern table by sourcing heritage ingredients directly from its bountiful onsite garden and maintaining strong relationships with local farmers and purveyors. This deep connection to local agriculture and the innovative culinary techniques employed at Husk combine to offer an unforgettable dining experience where history meets innovation.

The role of Sommelier at Husk is a significant opportunity for a hospitality-driven professional passionate about wine and Southern hospitality. This position is designed for someone who wishes to elevate their craft by managing and enhancing Husk's wine and beverage program with expertise, enthusiasm, and a keen vision to complement the restaurant's culinary offerings. Working at Husk means joining a nationally recognized restaurant group that prioritizes innovation, mentorship, and excellence in service. The Sommelier will oversee a thoughtfully curated global wine list, tailoring offerings to enhance each guest’s dining experience through expert tableside service and pairing recommendations. This role is not only about managing wine inventory and vendor relations but also about nurturing the team’s wine knowledge through education and training, building a culture of wine appreciation throughout the staff.

As a Sommelier, you will collaborate closely with the culinary team to create seasonal pairings and coordinate special events that highlight Husk’s distinctive approach to modern Southern cuisine. The position requires leadership presence across all shifts—opening, mid, and closing—ensuring consistent service standards and a remarkable guest experience. Husk supports its employees with a highly competitive compensation package and outstanding benefits including comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life insurance options, 401(k) with employer match, generous paid time off that grows with tenure, paid parking, mental health resources, employee perks, and development opportunities.

Husk is a workplace that values warm, engaging, and guest-focused hospitality delivered with professionalism and integrity. If you are passionate about wine, skilled in financial management and inventory oversight, and ready to lead with enthusiasm and dedication, this role offers a unique platform to advance your career. With Husk’s commitment to fostering a professional environment centered on growth, learning, and quarterly profit-sharing, this is an ideal position for a Sommelier aspiring to develop their capabilities within a leading restaurant group that truly values its people and culture.
