At The Cosmopolitan, one of MGM Resorts International's premier properties on the Las Vegas Strip, the role of Sommelier is essential in delivering outstanding dining experiences. As a Sommelier, you become the expert behind the wine program, influencing guests' visits with your knowledge of wine lists and pairings with food. This role requires an individual passionate about wine, able to guide guests through selections that enhance their meals, and contribute to the overall atmosphere of elegance and excitement. The starting wage for this position is $20.7297 per hour plus gratuities, making it a rewarding opportunity both professionally and financially.

You'll be integral in managing beverage costs, training fellow employees, and ensuring that the wine storage and service areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and operational efficiency. Your ability to build relationships both internally and externally ensures that the wine program reflects the cutting edge of the industry and meets guest expectations.

Working at The Cosmopolitan provides an environment that celebrates diversity, teamwork, and professional growth. This role not only demands technical wine expertise but also excellent customer service skills, as you are often the face of the wine program in front of guests. The day-to-day responsibilities also involve handling cash properly, maintaining the appearance and sanitation of your workstation, and assisting with wine deliveries. By joining MGM Resorts International as a Sommelier, you become part of a dynamic team dedicated to entertainment, guest satisfaction, and ongoing development within one of the most exciting and fast-paced work environments in hospitality.
