Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of restaurant experience
- Level one or level two certification from Court or Master Sommelier or WSET required within 90 days of hiring
- ServSafe certificate required
- Responsible Alcoholic Beverage Service certificate required
- Night shift availability required
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant service with a focus on fine dining or upscale establishments
- Strong knowledge of wine varieties and food pairing principles
- Level one or level two certification from Court or Master Sommelier or WSET preferred
- Proficiency in POS systems
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell confidently and effectively
- Background in food industry roles such as serving, catering, banquet service, or food handling
- Culinary experience or culinary training is advantageous
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills to engage guests warmly and professionally
Job Duties
- Provide expert wine recommendations and pairings based on menu selections and guest preferences
- Deliver attentive, friendly service to all guests, ensuring a memorable dining experience
- Assist guests with menu and suggest upselling opportunities to enhance sales and guest satisfaction
- Maintain thorough knowledge of our wine list, food offerings, and current events
- Handle food and beverage orders accurately using POS system
- Ensure food safety standards are consistently met through proper food handling and sanitation practices
- Support catering and banquet events by serving guests efficiently and professionally
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately during transactions
- Able to navigate dietary requests and allergies with kitchen team
- Uphold high standards of customer service, serving with enthusiasm and professionalism at all times
