The sommelier position at City Winery is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a team dedicated to elevating the live music and hospitality industries. As a sommelier, you will serve as our in-house wine and beverage expert, playing a critical role in maximizing beverage sales while ensuring that every guest receives outstanding service that exceeds expectations. You will be responsible for recommending wine and food pairings, educating guests on beverage selections, supporting beverage department operations such as monthly inventory management, and maintaining a well-organized wine cellar. The ideal candidate possesses solid knowledge of global wine regions—including Old and New World wines—producer and vintage information, and an earnest desire to advance our wine program through clear communication and continual learning.

This full-time role demands a professional with at least two years of sommelier experience in fast-paced restaurant environments and an ability to manage guest expectations with poise and a polished presentation. Your duties will extend beyond guest interaction, requiring teamwork, attention to detail, organizational prowess, and flexibility to work a variety of schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical stamina is necessary as the role involves standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
