The Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club in Surfside, Miami Beach, is a landmark of oceanfront elegance and historic significance. This opportunity is for a full-time Sommelier to join this prestigious hotel’s Food and Beverage team. The ideal candidate will have between 2 to 5 years of sommelier experience in a fine dining environment and must demonstrate a proactive attitude and ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic team. This role demands expertise in advising guests on wine selections, managing and curating wine lists in alignment with budgetary constraints, guest preferences, and the restaurant's thematic concept. The Sommelier will also be responsible for conducting regular staff training on wine knowledge, ensuring the team is equipped to provide exceptional service. Collaboration with the restaurant's general manager and chef is essential for developing product offerings and enhancing guest satisfaction.
Additionally, the Sommelier will oversee the inventories of all food and beverage outlets on a weekly and monthly basis, ensuring accurate stock levels and optimizing cost controls. They will manage the design, modification, and printing of wine lists to keep offerings fresh and aligned with seasonal and culinary trends. Preference will be given to candidates with experience and knowledge of Italian cuisine and wines, reflecting the dining styles prominent at the venue.
