As a Sommelier, you will play a vital role in shaping and directing our wine program. This position requires a personable individual who can engage guests with varying levels of wine knowledge, making them feel comfortable and informed. Your expertise in wine selection will be fundamental, as you will guide guests through our wine list, taking into account their budget, flavor preferences, and the dishes they choose to create a perfectly paired experience. You will manage all aspects of the wine program, including purchasing, inventory control, and training staff to elevate their wine service skills. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior sommelier or wine service experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Physical ability to lift and move wine cases

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a sommelier or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of wine varieties, regions, and pairings
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to train and guide staff
  • Passion for wine and hospitality
  • Familiarity with inventory and budget management

Job Duties

  • Assist guests with wine selection
  • Decant wine for guests
  • Develop a training program for staff to learn wine tasting and service
  • Order, receive, organize, and sell wine
  • Manage wine purchasing and budget
  • Develop and maintain wine program if applicable
