We are currently seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Sommelier to join our dynamic team and elevate our guests' dining experience. The Sommelier will serve as the wine expert, responsible for creating and maintaining an exceptional wine list that complements our diverse menu offerings. This role requires a deep understanding of wine varieties, regions, and winemaking processes, as well as the art of pairing wines to enhance the flavors of our culinary creations. The Sommelier will engage directly with guests to recommend wine selections that suit their personal tastes and meals, ensuring a memorable and elevated dining experience.

Beyond guest interaction, the Sommelier will collaborate closely with our chefs and the Food and Beverage Manager to continuously update the wine offerings, negotiate purchase prices with vendors to maintain cost-efficiency, and manage the wine cellar to ensure it remains fully stocked and organized. This position also involves training the waiting staff on wine options and proper serving techniques to ensure consistent quality across all service interactions. The role offers competitive pay up to $22 per hour, plus commission on wine sales, and includes mentorship from a seasoned culinary and hospitality team, with opportunities for career growth within the Tavistock Restaurant Collection.

Ideal candidates will bring prior experience working as a Sommelier, Wine Steward, or similar hospitality role, coupled with extensive knowledge of wines and wine service standards.
