The company serves multiple industries, including food and beverage, pharmaceutical, and dairy sectors, providing innovative and reliable equipment and systems. With a workforce exceeding 18,000 employees worldwide, GEA has established a strong presence in the United States since 1929. This makes GEA not only a well-established brand but also a forward-thinking industry leader that combines its longstanding heritage with cutting-edge technology and innovative practices. The company is known for fostering a supportive work environment and building lasting careers, as seen in its average employee tenure ranging from 5 to over 11 years. This longevity reflects GEA's commitment to a strong corporate culture, professional growth opportunities, and comprehensive employee support.

The current opportunity at GEA Group is for a Solution Sales Manager to join their North American Food Solutions Sales team. This role is strategically based in the Midwest or Great Lakes Region of the United States, targeting the food industry with a focus on selling packing and slicing equipment. In this role, the Sales Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, continually engaging clients to understand their evolving needs. Responsibilities include monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify growth opportunities and risks, developing and executing regional sales plans, and pursuing new business opportunities to expand the customer base and market share. The ability to negotiate favorable purchase agreements and deliver compelling presentations to clients and stakeholders is essential. This role demands a self-motivated individual capable of working within a matrix environment while maintaining compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.

GEA offers competitive compensation with an estimated base salary ranging from $100,000 to $150,000 annually, depending on location, experience, and qualifications. Additional financial rewards such as discretionary bonuses and equity awards may also be available. The company is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds and providing special consideration for equally qualified applicants with disabilities. Employees at GEA benefit from comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage starting from their first day, twelve paid holidays including a flexible floating holiday, and 136 hours of paid time off to ensure work-life balance. A 7% employer match on 401(k) plans, tuition reimbursement programs, wellness incentives, confidential employee assistance programs, and flexible health savings and spending accounts further support employee well-being and growth. Overall, this role is ideal for an experienced sales professional passionate about innovative engineering solutions, client relationship management, and business development within the food industry.
