This position is for a Software Developer within Northrop Grumman's Space Sector, a division dedicated to advancing space technology and secure future space missions. The role is critical to satellite ground software, focusing on development, integration, deployment, and sustainment of software systems that support space missions. This is a full-time, onsite position with a 9/80 work schedule—offering every other Friday off. The work requires up to 10% travel and necessitates the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top-Secret clearance. The role involves full-stack software development using Python as the primary programming language, supplemented by C++ and occasional Java. Technologies include PostgreSQL, Qpid messaging, Docker, Kubernetes, and transitioning GUIs from Qt to web-based platforms using Elixir. The developer will engage in designing and implementing mission-planning tools such as trajectory generation, timeline creation, and resource allocation, along with integrating real-time data feeds and automating critical system validations.
