The Hotel Social Sales Manager role at Courtyard by Marriott is pivotal in driving online and offline sales engagement to enhance the hotel's market presence and customer relationships. As a key partner to the Director of Sales, the Social Sales Manager serves as the primary contact point for guests both online and on property. This position is ideal for a motivated sales professional with a strong background in hotel sales coordination, group bookings, and social media engagement. Job Requirements

  • minimum 1 year of hotel sales manager, sales coordinator, or direct hotel sales experience is required
  • prior additional hotel experience in any department is a plus
  • organizational, administrative and communication skills
  • experience in the local market a plus
  • brand experience is preferred, but not required
  • proactive approach to prospecting for new business as well as account penetration and saturation
  • superb organizational and follow-up skills
  • computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Outlook a must
  • professional appearance and conduct

Job Duties

  • interact with clients to coordinate group bookings and rooms
  • promote and engage in online conversations with customers to encourage relationship building
  • directly engage in room, event, and block sales, both with the director of sales, and on your own
  • coordinate with director of sales and marketing department to engage with social media influencers to promote and produce content
  • input bookings and room blocks into the property management system
  • collaborate with other departments to ensure accuracy and timely delivery of service
  • maintain sales records and files
  • act as a first point of contact for social business inquiries
  • perform other tasks as assigned
