Job Requirements

  • Must have 2-5 years prior experience in hotel sales
  • must be proficient in Windows operating system and Microsoft Office Suite
  • experience with Opera Express helpful
  • willingness to assist co-workers and be a team player
  • ability to perform moderately complex mathematical calculations without error
  • ability to deal with customers with patience, tact, and diplomacy
  • ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • ability to access and accurately input information using computer systems
  • must have the ability to communicate in English
  • maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Solicit and secure new accounts
  • service clients and groups on-site
  • generate hotel revenue by coordinating group rooming blocks, meeting space, and catering orders
  • perform contract negotiations and vendor service agreements
  • attain sales and revenue goals
  • conduct solicitation calls, sales tours, and entertain clients
  • develop and implement sales and marketing techniques
  • maintain competitive analysis and company account files
  • promote repeat business by contacting in-house meeting planners
  • maintain strong community and industry presence
  • drive special promotions and sales blitzes
  • prepare sales reports
  • attend department meetings and management functions
  • communicate changes to relevant departments
  • provide professional and courteous service
  • perform duties as requested by management
  • develop knowledge of hotel operations and policies
