Job Requirements
- Must have 2-5 years prior experience in hotel sales
- must be proficient in Windows operating system and Microsoft Office Suite
- experience with Opera Express helpful
- willingness to assist co-workers and be a team player
- ability to perform moderately complex mathematical calculations without error
- ability to deal with customers with patience, tact, and diplomacy
- ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- ability to access and accurately input information using computer systems
- must have the ability to communicate in English
- maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-5 years prior experience in hotel sales

Job Duties
- Solicit and secure new accounts
- service clients and groups on-site
- generate hotel revenue by coordinating group rooming blocks, meeting space, and catering orders
- perform contract negotiations and vendor service agreements
- attain sales and revenue goals
- conduct solicitation calls, sales tours, and entertain clients
- develop and implement sales and marketing techniques
- maintain competitive analysis and company account files
- promote repeat business by contacting in-house meeting planners
- maintain strong community and industry presence
- drive special promotions and sales blitzes
- prepare sales reports
- attend department meetings and management functions
- communicate changes to relevant departments
- provide professional and courteous service
- perform duties as requested by management
- develop knowledge of hotel operations and policies
