The position of Barista/Cashier at Snowbird’s Atrium, located inside the Cliff Lodge, is a part-time role ideal for morning shift workers who enjoy engaging with guests and are passionate about providing excellent customer service. The Barista/Cashier plays a vital role in enhancing the guest experience by taking orders, preparing and serving food and beverages, and managing transactions accurately. This role requires strong multitasking abilities, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Employees in this position are expected to interact positively with guests and teammates, be proficient in handling financial transactions responsibly, and adhere to company policies including PCI compliance when handling sensitive customer information. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- availability to work morning shifts including weekends and holidays
- ability to stand for long periods
- ability to lift up to 25 lbs
- ability to bend, kneel, handle, reach, grasp and perform repetitive motions
- willingness to stay overnight if necessary during road closures
- ability to work in winter conditions and commute to and from Snowbird
- ability to interact pleasantly with guests and maintain good working relationships
- compliance with background check and company policies on drug, alcohol, and conduct
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous barista experience
- great listening and speaking skills
- valid Food Handler Permit
- valid Alcohol Certification
- strong organizational skills
- ability to work under pressure with a positive attitude
- ability to multi-task effectively
- competency in reading, writing and math
- knowledge of PCI DSS and handling sensitive information
Job Duties
- Greet guests and employ suggestive selling techniques to enhance guest experience and increase revenue
- take orders and confirm them with customers to ensure satisfaction
- address customer questions about menu items professionally
- handle food and beverage preparation and presentation
- monitor and manage inventory of kitchen and counter supplies
- maintain standards of appearance and sanitation including bussing tables and cleaning dining areas
- follow state policies for responsible serving of alcoholic beverages
- demonstrate competency in reading, writing, and arithmetic for transaction accuracy
- manage multiple tasks simultaneously, such as ringing several checks and serving several guests
- handle guest personal and financial information in compliance with PCI DSS
- assist with other restaurant positions as needed including bussing and cleaning
