Job Description

Northgate Resorts is a renowned company that owns and manages the most awarded camp-resort portfolio in the United States. With a passion for creating unforgettable family camping memories, Northgate Resorts stands out as a leader in the hospitality industry by offering exceptional outdoor recreational experiences for guests of all ages. The company emphasizes teamwork and a collaborative environment where employees work together to ensure guests have an enjoyable and memorable stay. Northgate Resorts is committed to maintaining a highly effective, lean, and fast-moving organization which allows it to adapt quickly and deliver excellent service consistently across its many properties.

The role of Snack Bar Staff at Northgate Resorts is an integral part of the food and beverage department, primarily within the resort’s fast food and snack bar establishments. This position includes two main roles: Snack Bar Cook and Snack Bar Attendant. Both roles are seasonal and can be either full-time or part-time, reporting directly to the Food & Beverage Supervisor. These positions are ideal for individuals who thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and enjoy interacting with guests while helping to maintain the high standards of quality and cleanliness that Northgate Resorts is known for.

Snack Bar Cooks are responsible for preparing food items in accordance with brand and food safety standards. This includes cleaning, washing, measuring, cutting, and cooking foods according to company recipes and procedures. Additionally, they maintain a safe, secure, and healthy working environment by adhering to sanitation standards and regulatory requirements. This role also involves monitoring and maintaining supply levels of food and food-prep items, condiments, napkins, and straws to ensure guest satisfaction. Snack Bar Cooks contribute to the overall reputation of the kitchen and resort by taking ownership of their assigned areas and supporting other team members as needed.

Snack Bar Attendants focus on guest interactions, including greeting guests, taking orders, and providing helpful recommendations based on customer feedback. They handle cash, credit, and gift card transactions accurately through the point of sale system, always following proper cash handling procedures. Attendants also maintain cleanliness in the dining area by cleaning tables, mopping floors, and emptying trash. They assist cooks when required, including participating in food preparation and ensuring supplies are stocked, thereby contributing to a smooth and efficient operation. Both roles require individuals who are flexible, possess excellent communication and customer service skills, and maintain a positive attitude that enhances the guest experience and work environment.

This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in food service, develop valuable skills in customer service and teamwork, and be part of a respected company that values its employees and guests. Northgate Resorts supports and encourages employees' growth and offers a seasonal work environment with flexible schedules including weekends, holidays, and evenings. Candidates interested in the Snack Bar Staff role should have basic food safety knowledge or be willing to obtain certification and have a strong work ethic and the ability to adjust quickly to changing tasks.
