The role of Snack Bar Attendant at Guest Services is centered around delivering exceptional customer service in a dynamic foodservice environment. This hourly position, compensated at $14.00 per hour, is integral to maintaining an elevated level of customer satisfaction by efficiently preparing and serving food items while upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. The Snack Bar Attendant is responsible for greeting customers, taking orders courteously, preparing food according to established recipes and supervisor instructions, and serving food promptly. Beyond food preparation and service, this role involves maintaining the cleanliness of cooking and dining areas, managing kitchen equipment, washing dishes and utensils, and assisting fellow staff members as needed.

Guest Services seeks candidates who are at least 18 years old, possess basic English communication skills, and hold or are able to obtain certifications such as TIPS and Nevada State Alcohol Awareness Training. Prior experience in foodservice, particularly in short-order or fast-food cooking, along with knowledge of hospitality industry standards, state and federal liquor laws, and health regulations, is preferred. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 to 6 months’ work experience short-order fast-food cooking experience preferred
  • Previous Hotel resort industry work experience working with the public preferred
  • Knowledge of state and federal liquor laws including alcohol awareness procedures and recommendations
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • TIPS certification or ability to obtain upon hire
  • Valid Nevada State Alcohol Awareness Training certification and Clark County Health card

Job Qualifications

  • Read write understand and speak English to communicate with customers co-workers
  • Knowledge of and ability to use kitchen appliances such as deep fryers microwaves pizza ovens flat-top cook top ice cream machine and coffee maker
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • TIPS certification or ability to obtain upon hire
  • Valid Nevada State Alcohol Awareness Training certification and Clark County Health card
  • Excellent listening and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of proper use of cleaning supplies and proper cleaning techniques
  • Must understand and follow proper food preparation standards and techniques

Job Duties

  • Provide excellent professional customer service to all customers and employees visiting the lounge
  • Greet customers including taking orders and serving food in a timely and courteous manner
  • Prepare and cook food items according to recipes menus and supervisor instructions
  • Ensure kitchen equipment and cook areas are clean inspected and in working condition
  • Help other restaurant staff when necessary and or run food orders clean and help prep etc
  • Bus tables after customers have left including remove dirty soiled dishes wiping table surfaces and condiment soda machine tables
  • Wash dishes glasses flatware cooking utensils pots and or pans
