The Sleep Center Manager at Living Spaces plays a critical role in driving the success of the mattress category by exceeding sales and operational targets. This position is full-time, offering a competitive salary range of $73,000 to $97,450 annually, with eligibility for overtime pay and bonuses based on performance metrics. The manager is responsible for implementing the Living Spaces guest engagement model, ensuring outstanding guest satisfaction levels, and managing a high-performing mattress sales team within the store. Beyond sales, the role demands strong leadership, comprehensive team development, and operational excellence to maintain the store's reputation as a "store within a store" under the Living Spaces brand.
This leadership position encompasses staffing and scheduling to optimize team productivity, mentoring and supporting onboarding coordinators to enhance team cohesion, and fostering a passion-driven culture through coaching and development activities. The Sleep Center Manager also directly participates in sales activities on the retail floor, actively engaging with guests and team members to ensure the consistent application of the guest engagement model and resolution of escalated situations. Operational responsibilities include driving adherence to standard operating procedures, maintaining visual merchandising standards, and leveraging scorecards to identify business gaps and develop actionable plans.
Collaboration across various departments such as operations, logistics, and visual merchandising is vital to success in this role. The Sleep Center Manager works closely with the Director of Revive, department store leadership, and other Sleep Center Managers to align sales strategies, share best practices, and contribute to broader store-wide goals. Additionally, the manager ensures clear communication of company policies and fosters an inclusive, trust-based environment with all stakeholders, including shareholders and business partners.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 5 years experience in customer interactive environment
- Minimum 3 years management experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage teams and lead business strategies
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to develop and execute comprehensive business plans
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, design, retail management, sales, merchandising, or related field preferred
- 5 years of experience in a direct customer interactive environment, preferably high volume
- 3 years of management experience required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Job Duties
- Staffing and scheduling to ensure the mattress sales team is fully staffed with the right talent and schedule coverage to optimize productivity and efficiency
- Training and development of all team members including supporting the training and onboarding coordinator and collaborating on training material
- Leadership and team building by recruiting, leading, and developing all team members, hosting talent conversations, setting clear expectations, and inspiring through coaching and mentoring
- Sales and guest engagement by attaining monthly sales per hour and revenue targets, actively selling on the retail floor, engaging team members and guests, and handling escalated guest situations
- Operational excellence by taking ownership of the sales floor and financial outcomes through execution of sales and operations standard work, driving results by focusing on standard operating procedures and creating business plans to address gaps
- Maintaining visual merchandise standards and delivering the Living Spaces Sleep Center promise of a “store within a store” concept through energy generation and recognition
- Building productive working relationships with the Director of Revive, mattress sales team, store leadership, other Sleep Center Managers, operations, logistics, and visual supervisors
