Job Description
Skyline at First Hill is a prestigious luxury retirement community located in the vibrant First Hill neighborhood of Seattle, Washington. Renowned for offering exceptional living experiences, Skyline focuses on enriching the lives of older adults by providing a supportive environment that champions hospitality, integrity, and teamwork. As a leader in the senior care industry, the community places a special emphasis on innovation and personalized service to ensure that residents enjoy comfort, companionship, and quality of life every day. With a strong, dedicated, and caring staff, Skyline has become a beacon of excellence and a sought-after destination for retired individuals looking for a warm and engaging community.
The organization not only prioritizes the well-being of its residents but also invests deeply in creating a positive and fulfilling workplace for its team members. The culture here is built around respect, collaboration, and open communication. Employees are encouraged to share ideas and contribute to a workplace that blends professional growth with a passion for meaningful service. Skyline offers both full-time and part-time employment opportunities, providing competitive pay ranging from $20.75 to $23 per hour, with wages commensurate with experience. The company values work-life balance and ensures team members receive excellent medical, dental, and vision benefits alongside generous paid time off.
The role of Server at Skyline is an integral part of maintaining the high standard of dining services that residents expect. This position involves assisting residents with meal selection, including ordering from menus, buffet stations, and a la carte choices, while also offering friendly, knowledgeable customer service. Servers will present menus, answer questions about ingredients and preparation methods, and relay orders efficiently to the kitchen staff. Timely delivery of food and beverages is essential, as is ensuring that residents receive personalized attention during meals.
In addition to meal service, servers also help maintain an immaculate dining environment by clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables promptly between meals. They may support kitchen operations with light duties such as salad bar preparation, soup service, dessert portioning, and coffee brewing. A critical aspect of this role is maintaining resident safety in dining areas by being observant and responsive to their needs.
Skyline's Servers are expected to be courteous, attentive, and proactive in their service approach, contributing to a dining experience that feels more like home than an institution. The company champions continuous improvement and encourages its servers to grow their skills through hands-on experience and teamwork. With an atmosphere that values fun and dedication equally, working at Skyline means being part of a community that genuinely cares for one another and thrives on making a positive impact every day. If you are passionate about hospitality and eager to advance your career in a caring, growth-oriented environment, Skyline at First Hill is an exceptional place to develop your professional journey.
