This full-time position offers competitive pay, ranging from $21.30 to $23.00 per hour depending on experience. In this role, the dishwasher is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation within the kitchen and dishwashing areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. This position is critical in supporting the overall dining experience of residents by ensuring that all utensils, dishes, and kitchen equipment are impeccably cleaned and sanitized.

Beyond the fundamental duties of operating dishwashing machinery and cleaning, the dishwasher may occasionally assist with food preparation and other kitchen tasks, making this role varied and engaging. The dishwasher also plays a pivotal role in monitoring and maintaining water temperature and sanitizer solution levels to uphold sanitation standards. Furthermore, the role includes cleaning and maintaining the storage areas for cleaning supplies, ensuring that the kitchen environment is organized and safe for all staff.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • experience with kitchen organization
  • good communication skills in the English language, oral and written
  • ability to occasionally assist with other kitchen duties
  • completion of a background check which may include drug screening, physical, TB test, and fingerprinting per state and local guidelines
  • CPR and first aid certification may be required in certain state or local jurisdictions

  • Must be at least 16 years of age

Job Duties

  • Monitors and records water temperature and sanitizer solution levels
  • notifies management if levels are not correct
  • may occasionally assist in food preparation
  • understands and observes sanitary guidelines and environmental requirements
  • sets up and breaks down dishwashing machine including arms, screens, traps, and baskets
  • cleans inside and outside of dishwashing machine
  • checks to see it is operating properly
  • cleans and sanitizes production equipment, work surfaces, ware-washing system, garbage cans, and kitchen areas
  • maintains storage room for cleaning supplies, chemicals
  • keeps room clean, stocked, labeled, and organized
  • performs other duties as assigned
