Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous airport and/or customer service experience preferred
- previous baggage handling experience preferred
- must be 18 years of age or older
- must have reliable telephone and transportation
- must be able to work outside in all weather conditions if requested
- posses the tact to deal with all levels of situations, client representatives, employees and the public
- must be able to read, understand and carry out instructions in English
- ability to work from verbal and written instructions
- ability to communicate in English clearly and concisely verbally and in written form
- must be able to lift, stoop, squat, push, stand and/or bend throughout the shift
- must be able to lift, carry and/or hold up to 75 lbs
- must pass pre-employment and random drug test
- must pass pre-employment background check
- must be a citizen of the US or posses the necessary authorization from the immigration and naturalization service (INS)
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous airport and/or customer service experience preferred
- previous baggage handling experience preferred
- must be 18 years of age or older
- reliable telephone and transportation
- ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English
- ability to read, understand and carry out instructions
- ability to work from verbal and written instructions
- knowledge of government, client, airport and company regulations
- physically able to lift, carry, and hold up to 75 lbs and perform physical tasks
Job Duties
- Meet and greet outbound passengers at terminal entrance
- determine service need and check luggage
- direct passengers to gate when possible and input checked baggage into baggage system
- provide special service such as courtesy chair, bags, carts, assistance with carry-on baggage
- provide general information to passengers, give directions and flight information
- transport checked baggage to appropriate locations including bag room and conveyor system
- maintain cleanliness of assigned areas and report maintenance needs
- adhere to company policies and dress code, project positive image to airlines, staff, and public
