Job Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous server or bar experience preferred (high-volume outdoor venue a plus)
- Strong guest service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor, seasonal environment

Job Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide friendly, attentive service
- Engage with guests at lounge seating, pool deck seating, and bar areas
- Create a fun, welcoming, high-energy atmosphere
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
- Serve cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages
- Deliver food orders and check back to ensure satisfaction
- Maintain awareness of guest needs in a fast-moving outdoor environment
- Understand cocktail menu, beer selections, and food offerings
- Make recommendations and answer guest questions
- Promote specials, featured cocktails, and upgrades
- Utilize suggestive selling to enhance the guest experience
- Encourage additional rounds, appetizers, and premium options
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, loungers, and service areas
- Clear glassware, plates, and trash promptly
- Keep pool deck and bar areas organized and guest-ready
- Process payments accurately (cash and credit)
- Follow proper check handling and closing procedures
- Follow responsible alcohol service standards
- Check IDs and verify legal drinking age
- Monitor guest behavior and escalate concerns when needed
- Maintain safe walkways around pool and deck areas
- Follow cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Obtain TIPS certification within 90 days of hire
- Check identification to ensure guests are of legal drinking age
- Politely refuse service to underage or intoxicated guests
- Monitor alcohol consumption and guest safety
- Use judgment to manage difficult situations professionally
- Offer water, food, or transportation alternatives when needed
- Ask a manager to intervene when appropriate
- Pour tests may be administered to ensure accuracy
- Understand and actively support all company policies relevant to your role
