Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in skilled engineering or maintenance work preferred
  • Ability to work full-time with a rotating Mon-Sun schedule including holidays
  • Must be able to use hand tools and power tools safely
  • Physical ability to lift and move materials and work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Must wear uniform and name identification badge while working
  • Ability to respond promptly to guest and management requests
  • Ability to record and report maintenance activities accurately

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in skilled engineering or hotel maintenance preferred
  • Ability to work with hand and power tools
  • Knowledge of routine painting, plumbing, and electrical maintenance
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and protocols
  • Basic understanding of HVAC systems
  • Customer service skills to respond courteously to guests
  • Ability to maintain accurate records of maintenance work and requests

Job Duties

  • Maintains hotel by performing minor routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities, using hand tools
  • Training resources for Engineers
  • Monitors performance compliance to accept building standards by Engineers II & III
  • Respond in a courteous manner to all guests questions, complaint, and/or request to ensure strong guests satisfaction
  • Replaces air conditioner filters
  • Notifies management concerning the need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment
  • May tend furnace, air conditioner, and boiler to provide heat, cool air, and hot water for guests
  • Execution of assigned tasks, projects, or programs, as instructed by the department’s management and ensure completion competently within a given time
  • To ensure any work requests that may come from the hotel guests or senior management are responded to within a given time
  • All such requests are to be recorded along with what action is taken
  • Required to be always in uniform when working on the property, including wearing a name identification badge
  • Supports and adheres to the core values, the mission statement, service fundamentals, and guest service philosophy as defined by the company
  • All other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor
