Job Requirements

  • Food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a related cooking role
  • Experience in high volume and casual dining preferred
  • Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to bend, twist, and stand for extended periods
  • Comfortable working in hot environments
  • Frequent exposure to water and chemical solutions
  • Comfortable handling sharp knives and hot kitchen equipment
  • Ability to communicate effectively

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of closely related cooking experience
  • Knowledge of HACCP standards
  • Familiarity with food preparation pertaining to Soups, Saute, Broiler, Fry and Pantry
  • Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents
  • Comfortable conversing with customers

Job Duties

  • Follows recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving food items
  • Communicates ticket times and potential problems to managers and servers
  • Maintains cleanliness and sanitizes work stations and equipment
  • Practices excellent food safety and sanitation practices compliant with HACCP standards
  • Operates a variety of kitchen equipment
  • Measures and mixes ingredients, washes, peels, cuts and shreds fruits and vegetables
  • Stocks, dates, rotates, and checks temperature of products
