Job Requirements
- Food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
- Minimum 1 year experience in a related cooking role
- Experience in high volume and casual dining preferred
- Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
- Ability to bend, twist, and stand for extended periods
- Comfortable working in hot environments
- Frequent exposure to water and chemical solutions
- Comfortable handling sharp knives and hot kitchen equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of closely related cooking experience
- Knowledge of HACCP standards
- Familiarity with food preparation pertaining to Soups, Saute, Broiler, Fry and Pantry
- Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents
- Comfortable conversing with customers
Job Duties
- Follows recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving food items
- Communicates ticket times and potential problems to managers and servers
- Maintains cleanliness and sanitizes work stations and equipment
- Practices excellent food safety and sanitation practices compliant with HACCP standards
- Operates a variety of kitchen equipment
- Measures and mixes ingredients, washes, peels, cuts and shreds fruits and vegetables
- Stocks, dates, rotates, and checks temperature of products
