The role of Security Supervisor at Securitas is a pivotal position responsible for supervising and coordinating security personnel assigned to client sites. This supervisory role is essential for maintaining the highest standards of security service, ensuring compliance with post orders, completing scheduled rounds, and filing detailed reports as required. The Security Supervisor acts as the primary point of contact for client communication, providing assurance that all security requirements are met through proactive management and quality customer service. In addition to enforcing discipline and coaching team members, the supervisor helps with training security officers and verifying that adequate coverage for all posts and shifts is maintained. This role involves both administrative responsibilities, such as assisting with payroll submissions and preparing various operational reports, and hands-on leadership, including performing security duties when necessary. Candidates should possess at least a high school diploma or GED, supplemented by a minimum of two years of related experience in security, preferably with retail experience. The Security Supervisor must demonstrate a deep understanding of security operations, supervisory practices, customer service excellence, and the ability to respond calmly and effectively during emergencies or pressing situations. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience
  • Must meet applicable state and local licensing requirements
  • Must pass background and reference checks
  • Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently
  • Must have physical capability to perform job functions including standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to adapt to various sites and post procedures

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of related security experience
  • Prior retail experience preferred
  • Knowledge of security operations including patrol and response
  • Familiarity with supervisory practices and procedures

  • Understanding of security and safety devices

Job Duties

  • Functions as a supervisor of Security Officers and other personnel at client sites
  • Ensures post orders are followed and rounds are completed
  • Files required reports and notifies proper authorities in emergencies
  • Coaches and disciplines personnel appropriately
  • Trains Security Officers and reviews assignments with subordinates
  • Assists in payroll and personnel information submission
  • Ensures adequate coverage of all posts and positions
  • Prepares and submits various reports
  • Inspects posts and outlines tasks for subordinates
  • Meets with client representatives to assure security requirements and quality service
  • Carries out supervisory duties including interviewing, training, coaching, appraising performance, rewarding, disciplining, resolving complaints, and making hiring or termination recommendations
  • May perform Security Officer duties as needed
