The role of Site Supervisor at Solotech plays a crucial part in ensuring the seamless execution of live production projects from start to finish. This position requires providing onsite support to project managers while overseeing all phases and processes of project installation. Responsibilities include supervising installation teams and subcontractors, managing equipment inventory and project paperwork, and maintaining health and safety standards on-site. The Site Supervisor acts as a key liaison among clients, contractors, architects, and internal teams to ensure projects meet quality standards and contractual obligations.

This position demands strong leadership skills, technical expertise in audio, lighting, and video installations, and excellent communication abilities. Candidates are expected to manage teams and projects independently while collaborating effectively within a larger team. Familiarity with technical tools such as AutoCAD and certifications like CTS or PMP are advantageous. The role requires willingness to travel to various job sites throughout the United States and the ability to work in fast-paced, sometimes stressful environments with varying work hours based on project deadlines.

At Solotech, the Site Supervisor is integral in coordinating installations, commissioning phases, change orders, and securing final project acceptance. Safety compliance, prevention efforts, and ongoing training are prioritized to protect workers on site. Daily updates to project managers and directors maintain transparency and facilitate smooth project execution. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • minimum of 3 years of installation experience (audio, lighting, and video)
  • ability to manage a team
  • ability to work independently and within a team
  • ability to communicate effectively and efficiently
  • good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • ability to travel to different job sites throughout the United States

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • professional training or college degree desirable
  • minimum of 3 years of installation experience (audio, lighting, and video)
  • CTS certification (an asset)
  • PMP certification (an asset)
  • ability to manage a team
  • ability to work independently and within a team
  • ability to communicate effectively and efficiently
  • good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • experience with AutoCAD (an asset)
  • ability to travel to different job sites throughout the United States

Job Duties

  • Participate in kick-off and recurring project meetings as needed
  • perform a site visit
  • manage the inventory of the onsite equipment, lifts, and tools
  • manage day to day project paperwork
  • ensure that the required quality standards as stipulated in the contract documents are applied
  • coordinate RMAs for defective or unused equipment as needed
  • provide daily updates on project progress, including issues, to Project Manager / Coordinator
  • manage the project through the installation and commissioning phases of the project
  • secure owner acceptance/final sign off
  • ensure the health and safety on sites through training, prevention, and compliance
  • act as a liaison, and maintain communication, with clients, general contractors (including sub-contractors), architects, and internal team
  • address change orders throughout the project
  • provide technical direction and assistance to the team as needed (installation technicians, representatives, and project managers) in installation and operation of equipment
  • maintain communication and project updates with Project Manager and Director of Operations
  • other duties and responsibilities as assigned
