A frontrunner in facility management, ABM offers a comprehensive suite of essential services and innovative performance solutions designed to improve the spaces and places that matter most to businesses and communities worldwide. Their extensive offerings span janitorial, engineering, parking, electrical and lighting, energy and electric vehicle charging infrastructure, HVAC and mechanical services, landscape and turf maintenance, as well as mission-critical solutions. This breadth of capabilities makes ABM a preferred partner across diverse industries, including commercial office buildings, universities, airports, hospitals, data centers, manufacturing plants, distribution centers, and entertainment venues. Founded in 1909, ABM has grown into a global leader with over 100,000 team members operating in more than 350 offices throughout the United States, the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, and other international locations. With annualized revenue nearing 8 billion dollars, ABM combines vast experience with forward-thinking strategies to deliver exceptional value to its more than 20,000 clients worldwide.
The Supervisor role at ABM is pivotal in ensuring operational excellence at assigned client sites. The position involves overseeing projects and managing day-to-day team operations, aimed at achieving and maintaining high performance and quality standards. As a Supervisor, you will be the primary point of contact for client liaisons, fostering strong customer relationships through proactive communication and a positive service orientation. This role requires you to lead and support your team effectively, providing guidance during regular hours as well as emergency and off-hour situations. A key responsibility includes promoting a robust safety culture, ensuring staff adheres to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) usage and follows safe movement practices consistently. You will be tasked with planning and assigning work schedules to meet service delivery expectations, training staff on security protocols, cleaning methods, proper handling and storage of supplies and chemicals, and the safe operation of various cleaning equipment such as buffers and scrubbers. Managing janitorial and porter personnel is integral to this role, alongside continuous monitoring of employee attendance and adherence to schedules and policies.
Additionally, the Supervisor will identify opportunities to increase revenue by offering additional billable project work to both new and existing clients. This may involve arranging necessary staff substitutions or personally filling in to meet contracted work requirements on time. The role offers a competitive hourly pay rate starting at $21.45, which is subject to variation based on experience, skills, location, and market conditions. ABM also offers a comprehensive benefits package that supports the well-being and professional growth of its employees. Working at ABM means joining a values-driven company committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, along with military-friendly hiring practices and support for individuals with disabilities. ABM’s comprehensive approach to employment ensures that Supervisors are well-equipped and supported to succeed and contribute meaningfully to the company’s mission.
