The Site Safety Coordinator role at Baker Electric offers a unique opportunity to be the full-time safety representative on a dynamic and specific construction project site. This position works closely with the Project Safety Manager to ensure all field activities meet both corporate and site-specific safety expectations. The coordinator will spend 80 to 90 percent of the time in the field observing work crews and enforcing safety protocols. This hands-on role requires constant vigilance and a commitment to monitoring and improving safety standards, conducting new worker orientations, maintaining training matrices, and assisting with incident investigations. The coordinator also plays a key role in liaising with general contractors, regulatory agencies such as Cal OSHA, and insurance carriers to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

This full-time position involves coordinating daily safety efforts, tracking safety supplies like PPE and first aid materials, assisting with equipment inspections, coaching project teams, and managing all safety documentation. The Site Safety Coordinator is responsible for confirming confined space safety procedures are followed and serves as the entry supervisor for confined spaces daily. The role demands flexibility with overtime and off-shift work to meet project timelines. Ideal candidates will have at least two years of safety experience, knowledge of OSHA regulations, and experience working in confined spaces. Effective communication skills are necessary to collaborate efficiently with customers, general contractors, and site management.

Job Duties

  • support safety efforts on the project
