Job Duties
- support safety efforts on the project
- monitor field activities for compliance with site-specific safety expectations
- perform daily site safety observations spending 80 to 90 percent of time in the field
- conduct new worker site safety orientations
- ensure implementation of corporate and site-specific safety plans
- track inventory of safety supplies such as PPE and first aid materials
- assist field supervision with equipment inspections
- recommend modifications or removal of hazardous equipment or machinery
- assess and coordinate safety training needs on site
- create and maintain an employee training matrix
- assist site management with incident investigations
- complete safety paperwork with Senior Site Manager
- maintain safety documentation in central safety binders
- coach project teams in hazard identification and issue correction
- serve as liaison with GC safety team, Cal OSHA, insurance carriers, and regulatory agencies
- attend safety meetings and daily safety huddles
- verify and supervise confined space entry procedures
- work overtime and off shifts as needed due to project timelines
