The role of AI Engineer at Suffolk is an exciting opportunity for professionals passionate about transforming construction through artificial intelligence. Joining Suffolk's project teams across the U.S., you will act as the on-site catalyst who turns innovative AI ideas into operational realities. Collaborating closely with the AI Champion — typically a Project Manager or Superintendent — you will identify workflow pain points and design AI-driven solutions that accelerate reporting, streamline planning, and improve project tracking. Your responsibilities include designing and deploying AI agents to automate essential project tasks such as RFIs, progress updates, and materials tracking, thus enhancing efficiency on the job site. When complex scenarios arise, you'll develop user stories and coordinate with Suffolk's central AI Studio to scale AI initiatives. This role also plays a critical part in advancing the "Construction Site of the Future" vision, showcasing how agentic AI transforms construction operations into a seamlessly connected, data-driven ecosystem. The position is based in Las Vegas, Nevada, offering a chance to work on cutting-edge projects in a fast-growing market. This role demands an individual able to bridge technical AI engineering expertise with practical construction site needs, ensuring AI tools meet stringent information security, data governance, and confidentiality standards. Furthermore, Suffolk emphasizes an inclusive work culture that values equal employment opportunities and diversity, fostering a respectful and collaborative environment. The AI Engineer role not only offers a chance to innovate within a Fortune 500 construction leader but also to contribute meaningfully to the future of how infrastructure is built in America.
