By leveraging state-of-the-art simulation technology and standardized patient programs, the center aims to enhance clinical skills, foster interprofessional collaboration, and improve patient outcomes across the healthcare system.

As a full-time, regular position paid on an hourly basis ranging from $24.71 to $35.82, the Simulation Center Program Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and educational effectiveness of simulation programs. This role is integral to coordinating the diverse facets of simulation-based education, including event scheduling, resource management, and standardized patient training. The program coordinator works closely with faculty members, the Medical Director, and the Operations Manager to deliver high-quality training aligned with educational goals.

The coordinator's responsibilities include organizing and managing simulation training sessions, workshops, and events by scheduling standardized patients and handling room reservations through the Trumba calendar system. Attendance tracking and maintaining simulation records are key elements of the role, supporting both operational efficiency and academic accountability. In collaboration with faculty and staff, the coordinator assists in developing case training materials, ensuring that scenarios are educationally relevant and accurately reflect clinical situations.

The coordinator also prepares and sets up simulation labs before each session, ensuring all equipment and materials are ready for use. Serving as a primary point of contact for internal and external inquiries, the role supports communication and collaboration among educational leaders, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders.

Additional duties involve maintaining and monitoring the Simulation Center website to keep information current and accessible. The coordinator is also encouraged to participate in conferences, professional development activities, and organizational events to stay abreast of advances in simulation education and administration. This position requires a flexible on-site schedule to accommodate a variety of simulation activities and events, reflecting the dynamic nature of healthcare education.
