The company is committed to maintaining a classic and consistent quality experience, which is reflected in its winning team spirit and dedication to excellence.
The role of Baker II at Deer Valley Resort is a seasonal, hands-on position responsible for the production and display of baked goods and pastries, with a strong focus on maintaining quality, appearance, and exceptional service. This role is vital in ensuring that guests experience the high standards Deer Valley is renowned for. With a pay rate of $22.50 per hour, the Baker II position offers a competitive wage in the seasonal hospitality market. This position also involves managing inventory to guarantee adequate product availability, supervising bakery counter attendants and Junior bakers (Level I bakers), and ensuring that stations and displays are clean, organized, and creatively presented. The Baker II will be involved in timely preparation for daily operations, including banquet setups, maintaining stock requisitions, and minimizing waste through proper food storage.

Seasonal employees benefit from a range of perks such as ski passes (varying by employment status), free skiing or riding at Alterra Resorts and select Utah resorts, discounted ski lessons and rentals during winter, subsidized meals during shifts, and housing options for full-time seasonal staff. Additional benefits include discounts at local businesses, healthcare options, and a 401k plan with company matching. This role offers a comprehensive experience for bakers looking to advance their craft in a renowned mountain resort setting while enjoying a supportive and engaging team and the stunning natural environment of Park City.
