Job Description
Via is a leading technology company specializing in on-demand shared transportation solutions. Operating extensively across multiple cities, Via leverages innovative routing algorithms to provide efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective mobility options. The company partners with municipalities, school districts, and private enterprises to deliver tailored transportation services that meet diverse community needs. Via’s commitment to technology-driven improvements in mobility is reflected in its user-friendly app, which enables seamless ride booking and real-time tracking, ensuring convenient and accessible travel for all users.
Currently, Via is hiring driver partners in Silicon Valley, specifically to support transportation services for local school districts. This role is positioned within a dynamic and growing environment where drivers play a crucial role in ensuring safe and reliable student transport. Partnering with Via not only means contributing to community mobility but also earning competitive compensation and enjoying the flexibility of independent contractor status.
The driver partner position offers a unique opportunity to earn a $500 new driver promotion upon completing the initial requirements and is eligible to earn up to $32 per hour. This compensation structure is competitive within the gig economy sector and rewards drivers for their dedication and efficiency on the road. Drivers operate their own vehicles, providing shared rides through an efficient routing system that optimizes travel time and resources. With 24/7 live support available, drivers have access to real-time assistance to address issues and ensure a smooth driving experience. Importantly, the role offers flexibility to drive during hours that best suit individual schedules, making it ideal for those seeking to balance work with personal commitments.
Working as a Via driver partner means joining a network of professionals who value service quality, reliability, and community engagement. The position requires adherence to important safety and regulatory standards to protect students and uphold Via’s reputation. Prospective driver partners must meet specific eligibility criteria, including possessing a valid driver’s license, a clean driving history, and passing background and vehicle inspections. Experience as a parent or caregiver is also valued, reinforcing the emphasis on safety and responsibility in transporting young passengers.
This opportunity to drive locally in Silicon Valley offers an enriching way to earn income while supporting educational institutions and families. Via’s transparent operational model and supportive infrastructure foster a positive work environment focused on growth and community impact. Interested candidates are invited to attend informational sessions at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Santa Clara Silicon Valley to learn more about the role, promotion eligibility, and onboarding process. Joining Via as a driver partner is more than just a job—it’s a chance to contribute meaningfully to community mobility solutions while enjoying financial and scheduling flexibility.
