Job Description
Penske Logistics is a globally recognized leader in transportation, warehousing, and freight management solutions, trusted by some of the world’s top brands across North America, South America, Europe, and Asia. The company is committed to engineering state-of-the-art logistics services that increase visibility and reduce supply chain costs for its clients. With a presence in multiple continents and a reputation for excellence, Penske Logistics provides its employees with a stable and rewarding work environment. The company emphasizes safety, professional growth, and top-quality equipment, making it an ideal workplace for individuals seeking a long-term career in logistics and transportation.
Currently, Penske Logistics is offering immediate full-time opportunities for Local Class A CDL Truck Drivers based in Baltimore, Maryland. This role is specifically designed for drivers who want to be home daily, enjoy a consistent Monday through Friday schedule with a midnight dispatch, and operate late-model trucks leased from Penske Truck Leasing. Drivers will benefit from best-in-class equipment designed for maximum comfort and equipped with both inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras to enhance safety. In addition to the excellent pay, starting at $27.83 per hour with overtime calculated after 40 hours, drivers have the potential to earn extra income through a generous driver referral bonus program that pays up to $5000 per referral.
The core responsibility of the CDL Class A Truck Driver is delivering products to various customer warehouses, averaging five stops each week. This role requires maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers, ensuring delivery schedules are met efficiently and safely. Penske Logistics takes pride in its exceptional customer service, and drivers not only represent Penske but also the clients whose branded trucks they may be driving. This dual representation is a key component, reflecting the company’s commitment to accountability and quality.
Employees will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package that helps keep associates and their families happy, healthy, and secure. This includes paid vacation and holidays from day one, excellent health insurance options covering medical, dental, and vision care, short and long-term disability coverage, and life and AD&D insurance. In addition, Penske provides company uniforms and safety footwear, a rewarding employee discount program, and an active safety incentive and premier driver recognition program designed to acknowledge safe driving and dependable performance.
Penske places a high value on safety and compliance. Candidates must have a valid Class A CDL, meet all federal and state regulations, hold a current or obtainable non-excepted interstate DOT medical card, and possess at least one year of recent tractor-trailer driving experience. The company requires all drivers to maintain a clean driving record with no more than two moving violations or accidents within the last three years and mandates English language proficiency for safety and compliance reasons. Regular and predictable attendance is essential, and background checks along with drug screening are integral parts of the hiring process.
Working with Penske means being part of a dedicated team that is not only committed to delivering freight safely and on time but is also always striving for career advancement. The company offers extensive training opportunities and supports mobility across multiple U.S. locations, allowing drivers to explore new cities and experiences within a stable and supportive nationwide operation. If you are looking to elevate your driving career with one of the most respected names in the transportation industry, Penske Logistics invites you to apply today and take the next step in your professional journey.
