Job Description
Winter Growth, Inc. is a highly respected nonprofit organization dedicated to providing assisted living and adult day care services primarily aimed at seniors and adults with disabilities. Established in 1979, Winter Growth has a long-standing reputation for fostering a family-focused atmosphere that emphasizes community, compassion, and individualized care. The organization takes great pride in creating environments where both employees and the people they serve feel valued and supported. With a mission centered around helping individuals live their best lives, Winter Growth is committed to person-centered care, respect for personal choices, and the continuous development and education of its staff to deliver therapeutic and meaningful programs.
At Winter Growth, the culture is built on foundational principles that include empathy, warmth, respect, and the celebration of life’s purpose and joy. This ethos permeates every aspect of the service delivery and workplace environment. Staff members are encouraged to embody these values in their daily routines, making Winter Growth not only a workplace but also a community dedicated to uplifting each individual’s quality of life. The organization's commitment to excellence is supported by ongoing staff training, the latest research in adult care, and a focus on maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming atmosphere.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable non-CDL Shuttle Driver to join our caregiving team. This full-time role is vital to our mission as it involves transporting seniors and adults with disabilities safely to and from our day programs, medical appointments, and recreational outings within the Columbia, MD area. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail and a caring attitude, ensuring that every trip and every interaction with our clients is handled with the utmost professionalism and concern for their comfort and safety.
In addition to driving duties, the Shuttle Driver will assist with housekeeping tasks to maintain cleanliness and safety within our facility. This includes cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas such as the great room. The role requires physical stamina to walk, stand, and push wheelchairs throughout the day, highlighting the importance of a physically capable and compassionate individual.
The position offers competitive compensation starting at $20 per hour and includes a robust benefits package featuring health, dental, and vision insurance, three weeks of paid time off, and ten paid holidays. Working hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, providing structure and consistency to the workweek.
Being part of Winter Growth means joining a team that is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of seniors and adults with disabilities. If you are someone who values empathy, respect, personal growth, and community contribution, this opportunity will allow you to grow professionally while making a meaningful impact on others’ lives.
