Under the direction of the Manager of Stadium Operations, the Sacramento River Cats are seeking dedicated Shuttle Drivers to join their team. This seasonal part-time position offers an hourly wage of $16.50 and involves providing safe and timely transportation services for staff, media members, and guests during baseball events at Sutter Health Park. Shuttle Drivers will be responsible for operating passenger vans and golf carts, ensuring efficient transport from on-site and off-site parking lots to the ballpark before, during, and after games and events. Key aspects of the role include assisting those requiring ADA accommodations, supporting employee transportation needs, and facilitating media access during athletics games. In addition to driving duties, the position requires acting as a versatile team member who can support other parking operations such as Bike Valet, Pedestrian Control, and line control for employee shuttles.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate a history of responsible driving, excellent communication skills, and the ability to enforce safety policies effectively among large groups. This role demands flexibility, as work schedules include nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional early mornings. Shuttle Drivers will also be responsible for ensuring vehicle maintenance such as monitoring fuel levels, charging golf carts, and reporting any mechanical concerns to Stadium Operations. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age for insurance approval
  • Must have a valid driver's license with at least 3 years of driving experience to be approved under driving program and eligible to drive vehicles
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends, holidays, and early mornings as needed

Job Qualifications

  • Must have a valid driver's license with at least 3 years of driving experience
  • Prior experience driving larger 15-passenger vans and golf carts preferred
  • Must have excellent communication skills, specifically around presenting and enforcing safety policies to large groups
  • Must have a proven history of making sound decisions in safety sensitive situations

Job Duties

  • Provide safe and timely transportation for guests needing ADA assistance to and from closest lots during events at Sutter Health Park
  • Provide safe and timely transportation for employees using passenger vans from off-site parking lots before, during, and after events for Athletics and River Cats games
  • Provide safe and timely transportation for employees needing ADA assistance to and from closer parking areas during River Cats games
  • Provide safe and timely transportation for media from media parking across 5th Street to and from the ballpark during Athletics games
  • Act as a breaker for other drivers and positions within parking areas including Bike Valet, Greeter, Pedestrian Control, ADA Assistance, and line control for employee shuttles
  • Assist with set-up and breakdown of parking areas for off-site employee parking
  • Ensure vehicles are in working order before, during, and after events
  • ensure golf carts are charged as needed and after events
  • monitor fuel levels and fill up passenger vans as needed
  • report any concerns to Stadium Operations
  • Other duties as assigned
