Job Description

ABM (NYSE: ABM) is one of the world’s largest and most trusted providers of facility services and solutions, dedicated to creating cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable environments. Established in 1909 and headquartered in the United States, ABM offers a wide variety of essential services across multiple industries including commercial office buildings, universities, airports, hospitals, data centers, manufacturing plants, entertainment venues, and distribution centers. With over 100,000 team members in more than 350 offices across the United States, United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, and other international locations, ABM generates an annualized revenue close to $8 billion, underscoring its position as a global leader in facility management and related services.

ABM’s comprehensive portfolio includes janitorial services, engineering, parking management, electrical and lighting solutions, energy and electric vehicle charging infrastructure, HVAC and mechanical solutions, landscape and turf care, as well as mission-critical solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. This strong commitment to excellence and innovation has cemented ABM’s reputation as a trusted partner for organizations looking to maintain and enhance their facilities.

The Shuttle Driver role at ABM is a vital position based at a major airport, where the individual will be responsible for providing shuttle bus transportation services for employees and vendors. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth, safe, and reliable transit within airport premises, reflecting ABM's commitment to operational excellence and superior customer service. The position offers competitive pay ranging from $20.50 to $21.50 per hour, with the exact compensation depending on the applicant's experience, skills, abilities, and geographic location.

The role involves on-the-job training geared specifically towards preparing individuals for all aspects of shuttle driving responsibilities, although it is important to note that the company does not provide CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) certification training. Candidates must already possess a valid CDL Class B or Class A with Passenger Endorsement to qualify for this opportunity, which is open to applicants aged 21 and above. This job is ideal for individuals entering or re-entering the workforce with limited experience or education, as ABM encourages a diverse range of candidates including veterans and those with military experience.

In this role, shuttle drivers will be responsible for performing safety inspections of their vehicles before and after trips, assisting passengers with safe loading and unloading, and maintaining clear and professional communication using airport and FCC-regulated radio channels. The responsibilities also include keeping the driver area clean and organized, offering exceptional customer service, adhering to all safety practices including DOT, traffic, client, and company regulations, and following emergency and evacuation procedures when necessary.

ABM values professionalism and safety and expects its shuttle drivers to uphold these standards at all times on and around ABM and client property. The company is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities and upholding a military-friendly work environment. ABM’s workforce benefits from comprehensive training resources that help team members excel and advance their careers within the organization and beyond.
