With over a century of expertise since its founding in 1909, ABM serves more than 20,000 clients worldwide and employs over 100,000 team members across 350 offices in the United States, United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, and other international locations. ABM’s portfolio encompasses a wide range of comprehensive services including janitorial, engineering, parking, electrical and lighting, energy solutions, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, HVAC and mechanical maintenance, landscape and turf care, as well as mission-critical solutions. The company caters to diverse industries such as commercial office buildings, universities, airports, hospitals, data centers, manufacturing plants and distribution centers, entertainment venues, and more. ABM is committed to equal opportunity employment and values diversity, actively encouraging veterans and candidates with military experience to apply. The company participates in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security E-Verify program to confirm employment eligibility and provides reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities throughout the hiring process.
The Shuttle Driver position at ABM plays a vital role in providing safe, reliable, and professional shuttle bus transportation services at a major airport affiliated with a leading transportation, e-commerce, and logistics company. This position involves transporting employees and vendors between designated pick-up and drop-off locations within the airport vicinity. ABM offers on-the-job training specific to this role to help new hires adapt quickly; however, it is important to note that ABM is not a CDL training facility and cannot provide CDL certification. The role demands a responsible individual with a valid CDL Class B or Class A license with passenger endorsement, who can demonstrate safe driving practices, excellent customer service, and communication skills. The salary range for this position is competitive, listed between $20.50 and $21.50 per hour, with the exact offer dependent on applicants’ qualifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and market data.
Ideal candidates for this role may be newcomers to the workforce or individuals re-entering after a hiatus, with limited driving experience being acceptable. Preferred candidates will have at least one year of prior experience as a passenger shuttle driver. The shuttle driver must perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance, load and unload passengers safely including providing assistance when needed, and maintain a tidy and organized driver’s area. Effective communication using airport- and FCC-regulated radio channels is essential to coordinate transportation activities and maintain safety. The driver will also be responsible for following emergency and evacuation procedures when necessary and reporting any incidents or issues promptly to supervisors or dispatchers. Adherence to all Department of Transportation (DOT), state traffic laws, client, and ABM regulations is mandatory, reinforcing the company’s commitment to safety and professionalism. As a military and veteran-friendly employer, ABM welcomes those with military occupational specialty codes 88M, LS, 3531, and 2T1X1 to apply and transition their skills into this important frontline role.
